Last week saw the $20 billion tweet. That was worth almost $4000 (notionally) to me. Apple (AAPL) went from having slightly negative momentum to having strong momentum. I personally wouldn’t buy in now, given my experience of sudden price jumps being unreliable. I’m tempted to cash in, but I’ve held on this long, I’m going to hold on a while longer. As a note, I don’t normally own US$ stocks, because of the currency exchange cost and the tax implications. This isn’t expected to be a long-term holding.

Precious metals look interesting right now. Iamgold (IMG), Kinross (K), Goldcorp (G) and Silver Wheaton (SLW) all scored higher than usual on my momentum model.

Bombardier (BBD.B) might be a stock to watch. $5.00 seems to be a psychological threshold. It has spent some time (2009-2011) above that level, before dropping almost to $3.00. It has worked its way back up, and is approaching $5.00 from below. If it pushes through, it could keep on going.
